Scott Jensen Announces for District 47
On July Fourth Dr. Scott Jensen announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Senate District 47 in 2016. (Incumbent Senator Julianne Ortman has declared she will not seek reelection.)
Dr. Jensen anticipates a campaign involving multiple topics: health care reform, transportation, term limits, taxation system, and education.
Representative Joe McDonald from House District 19B had this to say about Jensen’s decision.
"This is exciting news, and I am honored to endorse and support Dr. Scott Jensen for the Republican nomination for the Senate District 47 seat. My dad, K. J. McDonald, often said that Scott should run for the legislature because he'd be such a strong representative for families and businesses - his solid family values and fiscal conservatism would serve the people well. Dr. Jensen is recognized as someone who is tireless and knows how to work with others to get things done. He would help immensely in shaping the healthcare reforms Minnesota needs. Carver County voters would be fortunate to have Dr. Jensen as their Senator – a responsive, articulate, and determined voice.”
